This is a pen case made from hanhaba obi, worn as a belt over casual kimono. Although it's for casual kimono, this obi uses silver thread, making it semi-formal. There is a lot of room to put anything from pens and pencils to scissors or alternatively, makeup items.
The color is dark purple with designs with silver thread. We uploaded pictures under different lighting so that you can see the difference in colors under different light. The second picture was taken in a darker area than the first picture.
BLEMISHES:
Please note that we are recycling traditional pieces and therefore, there will be some imperfections. There are a few places where the thread woven in may look a bit worn out, and some light creases from the obi being used in the past, but overall, we believe this obi was in very good condition.
